We are proud to share that Dr. Mohsin Kamal has been awarded project funding under the prestigious and highly competitive NATO Science for Peace and Security (SPS) Programme.

The project, titled “Secure Integrated Sensing and Communications (Secure ISAC),” has secured a total funding of EUR 350,000 over a three-year period.

Dr. Kamal will serve as Co-Director of the project, representing the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Pakistan. He will collaborate closely with Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Arslan from Istanbul Medipol University, Türkiye, who serves as the NATO Country Project Director, and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tariq, NATO Partner Country Project Director from NUCES-FAST.

This groundbreaking project aims to develop a secure, scalable, and high-performance architecture that unifies sensing and communication systems, technologies crucial to the evolution of 6G networks, autonomous vehicles, smart cities, and defense applications. It uses innovations in Artificial Intelligence (federated learning), physical layer security, and IoT trust management.

Dr. Kamal’s role is instrumental in leading key research work packages, particularly those focused on the security of IoT frameworks. His leadership continues to inspire as he brings deep expertise in IoT and cyber-physical security.

This recognition from NATO not only honors Dr. Kamal’s technical acumen and research excellence but also reinforces Pakistan’s growing impact in cutting-edge international scientific and defense collaborations.

We extend our sincere congratulations to Dr. Kamal and the full project team for this remarkable achievement!
