ChipXPRT, a NUST spinoff, is proud to celebrate the graduation of the first batch of Saudi Engineers from the Chip Design Train-2-Recruit Program of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). This is a national initiative of National Semiconductor Hub KSA in partnership with the National Academy for Industry, and supported by the Research, Development and Innovation Authority and the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources.

Over the course of an intensive 8-month Zero to ASIC journey, 33 talented engineers have been fully trained by the ChipXPRT team, led by Dr. Abid Rafique, SEECS. The trainees were imparted full stack skillset on Synopys EDA Tools  including Front-End (Micro-Architure Design, RTL Design, SoC Integration and Design Verification), Back-End (RTL2GDSII), FPGA Validation and Embedded Software. Four SoCs designed by the trainees are planned for a tape-out from TSMC.
