Pioneering a fusion of academia and industry, I hold a Doctorate in Engineering from the University of Tokyo and an MS from its School of Science. I am a proud recipient of the FUTI Global Leadership Award 2015 and have had the opportunity of working at Princeton University in 2016-17 and representing Japan under the STEPS Exchange Program at Saint Petersburg State University, Russia. Industry-Academia Nexus: Spearheaded the establishment of the groundbreaking HBL Center for Blockchain and Applied Research at the GIK Institute, funded by the largest bank in Pakistan - Habib Bank. This center is a beacon for next-gen fintech innovations and tokenization of financial instruments, attempting to harness the expertise of academics in the futuristic fields of Blockchain, Machine Learning and Cybersecurity. Also established the OGDCL Clean Energy Research Center in 2024, which is one of the largest industrial funding in the history of Pakistan, sponsored by the Oil and Gas Development Corporation (OGDCL). Researchers worked towards building an ecosystem of expertise in Green Hydrogen. Major milestones involved developing a Solar Hydrogen energy system with an aim to lead the transition in Pakistan towards a sustainable future in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and work on the intersection of Artificially Intelligent Load management, Blockchain-based Energy trading and other emerging trends in clean technologies Diverse Experience: From a year-long internship at Bloomberg, Tokyo to working with the industry giant JXTG Nippon Oil, the journey has remained diverse and enriching.
