I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at NUST SEECS. My research interests lie at the intersection of applied AI, data science, data engineering, and data interoperability. I am particularly focused on leveraging these technologies to develop practical and impactful solutions that address challenges faced by socially and economically disadvantaged communities. I believe that artificial intelligence has immense potential to drive positive change when aligned with real-world needs. My work aims to bridge the gap between advanced AI techniques and their meaningful application in domains such as healthcare, agriculture, and public services. I am especially interested in creating systems that are not only technically sound but also accessible, inclusive, and context aware. Through my research, I strive to contribute to the broader vision of AI for social good by developing tools and technologies that are ethical, sustainable, and capable of improving lives in tangible ways.
