Talk By Prof Dr Ashfaque Hsan Khan titled “Pakistan’s Economy: Challenged and Way Forward” at SEECS-NUST

The President Pak-France Alumni Network (PFAN) Dr Iftikhar Ahmad Rana arranged a talk sponsored by PFAN delivered by Prof Dr Ashfaque Hsan Khan (Principal S3H NUST, Ex-advisor of PM on economic affairs) titled “Pakistan’s Economy: Challenged and Way Forward” at conference room SEECS-NUST, on 31st Aug 2022. Various professors from various universities participated in it, for instance, Dr Romana from Peshawar, Dr Khalid Saleed from Quaid-e-Azam university, Dr Amir Qayuum Dean Internationalization CUST Islamabad, Dr Amir Zaheer from NUML Islamabad, Dr Muhammad Khan from Iqra university Islmabad, Dr Muhammad Iqbal from SUPARCO Islamabad, M. Irfan Subhani from NESCOM, Dr Adnan Aslam, Dr Hassaan Khaliq (Associate Dean EE SEECS), Sir Yasir Iqbal DD academics NUST, Dr Khurram Yaqoob HoD materials SCME, Dr Mubeen Kamboh and Qasim Malik from CIIT Islamabad, including others. In this talk Dr Ashfaque threw light on various factors involved in the economic issue of Pakistan and finally concluded that going to IMF is the root cause of all the economic problems of Pakistan. It pushes the lenders into such a vicious cycle that it becomes almost impossible to get out of it. It hijacks the economy of that country to the extent that the lending country can’t make its economic policies which are good for it. Everything goes into the hands of the IMF..
Pakistan has to make its own policies and get rid of it.
