Prof. Nosherwan Shoaib (Chair IEEE Islamabad Section) of NUST-SEECS chaired the “Towards IEEE Pakistan Council: Mini-Conference 2025”, held on 31st May 2025 at NUST H-12 Campus, Islamabad. The event brought together the IEEE executive committee members from IEEE Sections/Sub-sections across Pakistan including Karachi, Lahore, Quetta, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur, Islamabad, and Peshawar. The conference agenda was focused on exploring the strategic roadmap for forming a national level IEEE body titled “IEEE Pakistan Council”, its benefits, and global precedents. Highlights included a thought-provoking panel discussion, the 25th Anniversary Celebration of IEEE Islamabad Section, and the inauguration of the Life Member Affinity Group.
