SEECS is the flagship institute of NUST conducting cutting-edge research on cyber-physical systems. Expanding on its international linkages, with a shared vision of collaborative research to strengthen collaborative research, NUST has established the Pak-Thai Digital Innovation Lab (PTDIL) with Chiang Mai University (CMU), Thailand, which was inaugurated by Prof Dr Pradorn, CMU, and Prof Dr Ajmal, NUST on 24 July 2024. This initiative is aimed at developing innovative solutions for addressing contemporary societal challenges. Both institutions signed MoA to establish a joint lab at each university to take up joint research projects, share research facilities, and support student/faculty exchange.
Prof Dr. Pradorn Sureephong, CMU, and Professor Dr. Rafia Mumtaz, NUST will lead the lab at their respective institutions. The twin lab concept implemented by NUST and CMU provides a platform for multilevel linkages between two universities to deliberate innovative ideas, undertake joint research activities, and develop cutting-edge technologies/ solutions for the rapidly evolving digital world.
