Profile -  Dr. Munir Ahmad Tarar

Dr. Munir completed his degree of B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from UET, Taxila, Pakistan, in Mar 1995, Master of Space Studies (MSS) from International Space University (ISU), France, in Aug 1999, and PhD in Electrical Engineering from Dalhousie University, Canada, in Feb 2010.

Since March 2010 Dr. Munir is working as Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, SEECS-NUST, Islamabad, Pakistan. Currently, he is appointed as Head of Department (HoD) Samar Mubarakmand Research Institute of Microwave and Millimeter-wave Studies (SMRIMMS) and is also working as R & D Consultant for the related industry.

Dr. Munir is an active researcher in the field of RF & Microwave engineering and has more than 14 years of practical experience in design and development, equally at circuits and systems level. He has worked both at individual level as well as in team setups including responsibilities such as leading a group of engineering professionals. 

Dr. Munir is Senior Member IEEE, USA, and Professional Engineer PEC, Pakistan, Since 1995. He is a volunteer Reviewer, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology; and IEEE Conferences such as CNSR 2009; ICET 2011/2012, FIT 2012-2014 and IBCAST 2013-2014.

Dr. Munir has occasionally performed duties of Officer In-Charge (OIC) NUST Entry Test, Convenor Reception Committee SEECS Convocation, Exam Superintendent SEECS-NUST, and Interviewer (Subject Specialist - Electrical Engineering) at FPSC Islamabad.

Details: Dr. Munir did his B.Sc. Electrical Engineering from UET, Taxila, Pakistan in 1995, Master of Space Studies from International Space University, France, in 1999, and PhD in Electrical Engineering from Dalhousie University, Canada, in Feb 2010.
