Adnan Khalid Kiani received his BE (Electrical Engineering) from College of EME, NUST in 2002, his MS (with Distinction) in Data Communication Systems from Brunel University UK in 2005, and his PhD from Brunel University, UK in 2009. His PhD thesis title was "Design of multi-homing architecture for mobile hosts". During his stay at Brunel, he also worked on EU-FP6 Enable project associated with large scale IPv6 deployment in Europe.
His research interests include Mobility Management in IP Networks, Network Mobility, Routing Protocols, Multi homing in IP Networks, and Mobile Ad-hoc and Sensor Networks. He has taught various undergraduate and post graduate courses during his stay at NUST-SEECS
As member of IPv6 Research group, Dr. Adnan has been involved in writing a proposal along with Dr. Adeel Baig and Mr. Imran Chaudhry for IPv6 experimental testbed setup at NUST-SEECS. The proposal was submitted to National ICT&RD fund and is undergoing final evaluation.
Clinical Monitoring of Patients through WSNs:
One of his concept titled "Monitoring of non-ICU patients through Wireless Sensor Networks Technology" has been accepted titled. Currently, he is working on content analysis and feasability report. Dr. Adnan is also working on developing a prototype for health and safety hazards monitoring in construction sites through wireless sensor network.
Dr. Adnan Khalid Kiani is a member of IPv6 Research Group at NUST-SEECS. His research interests include;

. Mobile Ad-hoc and Sensor Networks.
Dr. Adnan has taught a number of courses both at UG and PG level since joining NUST-SEECS. The courses include Information and Coding Theory, Advanced Digital Communication, Mobile Ad-hoc and Sensor Networks, and Advanced Communication Systems.
Dr. Adnan Khalid Kiani worked for almost a year as Assistant Manager at AWC, Wah Cantt. The job involved upgradation of Electronic Unit for FP-7 Aircrafts.
