Department of Software Engineering
The Software Engineering (SE) department at NUST SEECS currently offers an undergraduate degree in Software Engineering. The SE department offers a broad range of SE courses, both elementary and advanced, spanning the whole gamut of SE disciplines including areas such as computer science, software development, information security, intelligent systems and artificial intelligence. The SE department aims to achieve academic and research leadership in its subject area through its well-designed curriculum (that emphasizes conceptual understanding and fosters creativity) coupled with its strong focus on research, innovation, and industry-liaison. NUST SEECS also strongly emphasizes on imbibing the graduates with sound professional ethics. The department is equipped with state-of-the-art labs and there is an emphasis on providing suitable resources where required. Our aim is to thoroughly prepare students for their future careers in industry or research. This is accomplished by giving them exposure to relevant hardware and software techniques. Courses are continually reviewed to ensure that important emerging technologies are covered and that our students remain ahead of the innovation curve. Internship opportunities are also provided so that students can apply what they learn in a real work environment.
