International Relations Office

The international relations office at SEECS handles the set of entire international student body transactions. School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science believes that your overseas experience is a fundamental element in framing your overall experience of your student life. In that sentiment, student exchange programs and summer intern-ships are offered to international students.  This helps establish a strong bond between students belonging to different regions and promotes the air of learning and mutual benefit.
NUST SEECS insists on its students to participate in the programs offered by the IRO to complete their experience as students at the institute.

International Opportunities:-

A number of students have been availing the international opportunities offered by SEECS. It is ensured by the Students Affairs office that the students have all the necessary information and resources to proceed with their programs and proper guidance is provided to them.

Some of the programs conducted under the supervision of the Students Affairs office have been listed below:

National University of Singapore (NUS) Summer Program:

Organized by the National University of Singapore Entrepreneurship Centre is a 2 week program. It’s an excellent opportunity for participants to learn about Singapore. Participants are able to experience the culture, have the opportunity to interact with locals, understand how public policies are formulated and gain insights of business practices in Singapore.

Each summer, 3-4 students are chosen and are sent on a fully funded trip to NUS summer program.

University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR), USA semester exchange program:

University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) offers a semester exchange where the students are let to study for a whole semester and their fees are waived.

Every semester, 1-2 students at SEECS are selected to be a part of UALR semester exchange program to represent SEECS.

Student ambassador program - Google

The Google Student Ambassador Program is an opportunity for students to act as liaisons between Google and their universities. These ambassadors:

  • Learn about innovative Google products and programs.
  • Plan and host fun events on campus.
  • Act as a campus contact for Google teams.
  • Help Google better understand each university’s culture.

Every year, 2 students are selected to be student ambassadors at google. They are selected irrespective  of their batch or grades and solely on the basis of passion for technology.

Global UGRAD:

The Global UGRAD program is designed to award undergraduate Pakistani students enrolled at a university in Pakistan. The Global UGRAD-Pakistan program offers cultural/academic exchange through a non degree program for a semester at a university in the U.S. Applicants of this program are required to be in either their 13th, 14th or 15th year of formal education. Students enrolled in either, a four year bachelor's program or a two year bachelor's programs are eligible to apply.

International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience - IAESTE

The IAESTE exchange program is the most popular international student exchange program specializing in science and technology. A number of students have availed this opportunity in the past and have benefitted a lot.

OWYP - One World Youth Project

One World Youth Project links schools around the world to build generations of discerning, empathetic and empowered global citizens. One World Youth Project (OWYP) is a unique 3-semester global leadership and professional development opportunity for university students. One World Youth Project partners with universities around the world to establish service-learning program on each university’s campus for the benefit of university students as well as the surrounding community. One World Youth Project is currently partnered with six universities in the U.S., Guyana, Turkey, Kosovo and Pakistan.
