Workshop on Sliding Mode Control

Sliding Mode Control (SMC), also known as variable structure control, is an important robust control approach and has attractive features to keep systems insensitive to uncertainties on the sliding surface. SMC has been successfully applied to a wide variety of real-world applications such as robot manipulators, underwater vehicles, spacecraft’s, electrical motors, power systems, unmanned aerial vehicles, system biology and automotive engines. The workshop is intended for graduate students, researchers and practitioners, who want to learn the theory and practice of SMC for linear as well nonlinear systems. The workshop will cover theoretical as well as applied aspect of SMC in form of MATLAB lab sessions.
