Visit of Prof. Guy Gogniat as a part of Peridot Research Mobility Program

Prof. Dr Guy Gogniat, University of South Brittany, France visited SEECS on 19/10/2017 as a part of Pak-France Peridot Research Mobility Program. He was accompanied by Mr. Mathieu Gaulon, Attaché for Science and Technology, Embassy of France as well Dr Khurram Bhatti, ITU Lahore. Prof. Gogniat’s research focuses on adaptive computing, rapid system prototyping on reconfigurable platforms, software radio on reconfigurable platforms and embedded systems security. He had a detailed meeting with SEECS faculty members working in related areas. As a result of this bilateral discussion, High-level Synthesis (HLS) for Reconfigurable Computing was identified as a mutual research area. He also delivered a talk to graduate students of Electrical Engineering about his latest research endeavours. Mr. Mathieu Gaulon concluded the session by briefing SEECS graduate students about higher education possibilities in France and encouraged young scholars to take advantage of annual Peridot Research Mobility program.
