NUST SEECS Open House 2017
23rd May, 2017
NUST SEECS conducted an Open House on May 23, 2017. Rear Admiral Dr. Nassar Ikram SI (M), Pro-Rector Research Innovation and Commercialization (RIC) NUST graced the occasion as the chief guest. After the inauguration of Open House, guests had a tour of the Flagship projects. The projects displayed by the students were indicative of their innovative potential and competence.
The main idea of the event was to showcase the final year projects of BEE, BESE and BSCS graduating students. A total of 116 projects from the three different disciplines were displayed to highlight the various facets of academic and professional grooming at SEECS. The projects displayed by BEE students are 52 and SE/CS students displayed 64 projects.
The objective of the Open House was to get the employers and leaders in business, industry, education and services acquainted with graduating NUST SEECS students from Computer Science, Software Engineering and Eletrical Engineering programs and highlight our students’ multi-faceted potential. The industrial representatives had a direct access to the talented youth, to assess their suitability for various national business and industry streams and get them exposed to existing and future market needs. The Evaluation Committee, throughout the proceedings of the Open House, remained engaged in the grueling task of assessing the best ones out of a large number of projects. The result was announced in the closing ceremony.
The chief guest at the closing appreciated the potential of SEECS students and said that every possible effort should be made to exploit their novel ideas by magnifying them globally at the broader canvas.
