Department of Humanities and Sciences strives to provide the support in imparting comprehensive knowledge of basic sciences and humanitarian values at SEECS. It aims to contribute in the accomplishment of the mission of SEECS and focuses on the development of the personalities of students in lifelong learning. We are privileged to educate and groom some of the best and brightest students through provision of the strong foundation of Mathematics, Physics, communication skills, economics and professional ethics. Thus, helping them become well-informed participants and leaders in today’s increasingly technological societies. The curriculum covers about 30% of the total curriculum as prescribed by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and Higher Education Commission (HEC). The department is also contributing remarkably in research profile of SEECS.

Dr. Ibrar Hussain
We welcome you at the Department of Humanities and Sciences. We are a team of highly qualified faculty to impart the comprehensive knowledge of basic and humanitarian sciences. We provide the additional faculty to the two main departments (EE and DoC) at SEECS. Our curriculum covers about 30% of the total curriculum of EE and DoC as prescribed by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and Higher Education Commission (HEC). In addition to imparting quality education, our faculty also actively participates in the research activities. We have a multidisciplinary research group of HEC approved supervisors having the specialization of Analysis, Fixed point theory, Fluid Mechanics, PDEs, General relativity, Condensed matter physics and Quantum mechanical systems. We have contributed over 100 publications to the research profile of SEECS. I hope that our graduating students possess sound mathematical knowledge, management skills and strong humanitarian values that help them to cope with the challenges of the current era of rapid technological progress.
