NUST School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (SEECS) Presents Professional Workshop on RF Front-End Design at Samar Mubarakmand Research Institute of Microwave and Millimeter-wave Studies (SMRIMMS) 25-27 September 2013

The objectives of this workshop are to train the engineers in the relevant field to enhance their theoretical and practical expertise. This shall be an intermediate level workshop which will enable participants, having basic knowledge of transmission line theory, start designing of RF components and front-end transceiver modules. It will provide a base for advance circuit designing at their own. The course will cover the theory and design techniques required to develop important building blocks in modern RF and Microwave systems.

Subject areas include: Review of Transmission Line Theory, and Active RF Circuits such as Amplifiers, Oscillators, Mixers, RF Grounding and PCB design. The workshop will also provide an opportunity, through practical circuit designing, of using CAD tools to apply this theory to the design. A tour of test and measurement facilities, Anechoic Chamber, Microwave Research Lab and EMC/EMI Lab, at SMRIMMS will be conducted.
