PARC and NUST-SEECS signed a MoU for scientific and technical cooperation to advance the state of science and technology
Islamabad, September 1, 2014. Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) GoP and National University of Science and Technology-School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (NUST-SEECS) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Thursday at here NUST to pursue a program of scientific, technical and academic collaboration for the exchange of ideas, skills and techniques on problems of national interest.
Initially the cooperation include i) exchange of subject matter experts, scientific information, research materials, students and internships etc. for research and academic development, and will keep this information confidential to the best of their efforts. The data and research results will be published with mutual consent as joint authorship; ii) jointly explore funding, development and execution of national / international projects for research and education development in mutually agreed areas; iii) holding of joint meetings, conferences, seminars, symposia, workshops and training courses; iv) access to knowledge, data, libraries, classrooms, labs, fields and other facilities at the institutions and country wide establishments of the two parties; and v) mutual participation in the extension and out-reach activities.
On this occasion, it was decided that a three member teams from both the sides will be constituted. DG NARC and Principal NUST-SEECS will lead their teams as focal persons from each side to supervise and implement all activities under this MoU.
Dr. Munir Ahmad, Secretary PARC and Dr. Arshad Ali, Principal NUST-SEECS have signed the MoU whereas Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad, Chairman PARC, Dr. Muhammad Munir, Member (Coordination and Monitoring) PARC, Dr. Asif Raza, Prorector (Academics) NUST, Dr. Pervaiz Khaliq, Director (PRMC) NARC, Sardar Ghulam Mustafa, Director (PR&P), Dr. Rafia Mumtaz, Assistant Professor NUST-SEECS and other PARC & NUST senior officers witnessed the ceremony.
